OMBU Hot Pot

Very tasty hotpot place! It's an all you can eat restaurant at $25 per person. The buffet was very plentiful with lots of seafood and shellfish choices! The soup based were delicious, as was the meat (especially the fat beef... YUM!!!) Dessert was also amazing. Highly recommend the brown sugar sticky rice cakes and golden buns!

This restaurant is such a fun and unique experience! The food was amazing! You literally get to pick what you want in your hot pot. I’ve never ate at a hot pot before so this was new to me. There were a lot of options. It took a minute to learn the process, but after we were pros. I would definitely recommend not eating before you come. It is definitely a Buffet and you will want to try lots of things! For anyone who has not ate at a hotpot restaurant before you gather your food on a plate, go back to the table and then you boil your food in your option of broth at your table. You create your own sauce. They have many food options like meat, vegetables, cheeses and lots of other options. It was a great experience and we will definitely go again. Plan on around 25 to 30 per person with tip.

HOT POT Just to clarify, this Ombu is a hot pot, in basic terms, soup base all you can eat. You can order your own soup pot or a larger sharing pot. I was new to this so my sister and I ordered a large pot which was plenty. Next time, I recommend getting your own pot so you can flavour it to your taste. Food: a mix of order and buffet. The fry and cooked foods are ordered through a tablet. Your soup is served to your table that has a flat heating surface. Your soup pot is served and your add what you pick from the buffet self served area. You have options of noodles, vegetables, meats, seafood items you can choose from. You also have an island of sauces so don’t forget that. It will definitely level up the flavour. Service: was super friendly. The down fall was the limited English with our server. She did her best by showing us what to order. Be sure to read out the dinner labels at the self serve food areas. The price differs if you choose meats that are label dinner and you’re there during lunch hours. Atmosphere: clean and simple. They offer booths and tables. If you like soup, it’s a good place to go. I don’t know if I would revisit since I enjoy the grilled meats over soups.

I will be coming back my soup was a spicy beef noodle. The meat was very tender and delicious. We had a big group of 9 people and order a lot of entrees and appetizers. I think next time we will share plates because it was alot of food.

We went on a last mine date after a wedding to OMBU Hot pot. They have a great selection of soups with different range of spiciness. Different thickness of noodles and really good sea foods. From fish, squid, octopus, clams, crabs. Will definitely be coming back here again! The restaurant is clean and in good condition. The waitress was wonderful and very helpful.
